The Tool Shack was founded in 2003 by Jack Davis and Colten Wright when they saw that the Gulf Breeze community had a need for a general equipment rental center. In 2007, they ventured back to their roots and began offering more retail items...they became a Servicing Dealer for Echo Outdoor Power Equipment and by 2008 had expanded their dealership to carry lawnmowers and other equipment such as
Hustler
and Bearcat. In 2010, they became dealers for Exmark, Generac, Subaru, and Honda Power Equipment to complete their goal of offering and servicing the best brands available. Jack Davis retired, from his daily role in the business, in May 2010. In order to serve our customers more efficiently, in October 2011, The Tool Shack relocated to a new 5000 sq ft facility with a much larger showroom and expanded service facilities.

About Colten Wright:
Colten Wright grew up in the Pensacola / Gulf Breeze area and graduated from Gulf Breeze High School in 1993. He spent the next 10 years in dual careers. He promoted and managed bands and musicians, including owning an independent record company... while at the same time working for a Home Improvement Retailer as an Assistant Store Manager. He also spent 3 years at a local communications company as a manager in Customer Care, as well as working in their IT Department.
