The staff of The Tool Shack desires to make your rental experience a positive one. Please take a moment to read the following policies / procedures so you may make an informed decision and take the necessary precautions when renting equipment.
- State-Issued Identification and Credit Card are REQUIRED to rent equipment.
- Rentals are charged based on "Time Out" NOT "Time Used".
- All equipment must be returned CLEAN and FULL of proper fuel. Failure to do so, will result in cleaning and fuel fees.
- 4 Hour rate is the MINIMUM rental period. There are no discounts for returning equipment before the 4 hour period.
- Customer is responsible for returning equipment at or before the time PRINTED on the contract. If an extension is necessary, it is the customer's responsibility to make the request BEFORE time has expired.
- Malfunctions or Problems with rented equipment MUST be reported within 30 minutes of occurrence. Failure to do so, means that NO allowances or credits will be given.
- Reservations will be auto-cancelled if not picked up within 30 minutes of scheduled rental time, unless we have been notified in advance.
- Cancellations MUST be made at least 24 hours in advance of scheduled rental time. Failure to do so, will result in a CANCELLATION FEE of 50% off scheduled rental.
- Equipment may NOT be returned before or after normal business hours.
- Sunday is not a free day, if equipment was rented prior to Saturday.
- Weekend Rate: equipment rented on Saturday must be returned between 8-9am the following Monday for a 1 Day Charge. If returned after 9am, customer will be charged for Sunday.
- The Tool Shack cannot guarantee the suitability or performance of a piece of equipment for a particular job. However, we will make every effort to give reasonably sound advice.
- Customer is responsible for following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment when operating rental equipment.
- Damage Waiver of 10% will be charged to all contracts unless otherwise noted. This waiver does NOT cover any damage caused by negligence or abuse.
- Failure to return rented equipment at the specified "Due Back" time and / or failure to pay for rented equipment and /or any damage or fees is a Criminal Offense in the State of Florida.
- Please read your rental contract. It explains the rights and responsibilities of both parties...it protects the customer and The Tool Shack equally.
